Recurring Event Art Walk Free

Enjoy a free one hour public art tour of Vail each Wednesday of the month starting June 26 through August 28 . Meet at 11:00 a.m. at the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the Vail Village parking structure. The tour winds its way through the Village with discussions of the history of the Vail Valley, the founding of Vail mountain, the master planning of the Village, and the importance of site-specific art. The town of Vail’s public art collection includes over 55 works of art.

Rebecca Folsom’s music is about liberation. Her songs crack open hearts and inspire hope. Her world-class voice traverses a near-four-octave range. Even more, she brings both a pure vocal quality reminiscent of old Appalachia as well as a Blues prowess. Join us for one of the most scenic and forested races in the East West Destination Mountain Bike Race Series presented by Bloch & Chapleau Attorneys at Law and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. This adults-only race will start at 5:30 p.m. on Red Sandstone Road in Vail and end at the Lost Lake trailhead (west side). Individual race costs are $26 for preregistration or $37 on race day. Registration for the whole series costs $170 for adults. Registration is available online and preregistration for individual races ends at 5 p.m. the Tuesday before each race. A favorite of Vail Dance Festival audiences, Philadelphia’s powerhouse company BalletX, led by Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, returns to Vail this summer to present its first full-length story ballet by a female choreographer, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa The Little Prince.
