Description:

Dave Lively is a well-known local historian and engaging storyteller. Even more, he is a Certified Interpretive Guide and Certified Tour Guide at Rocky Mountain National Park where he has been a volunteer for 12 years. Join us! for his story called "Who was the Sculptor in Buckskin?" about a man named Alexander Phimister Proctor who was a sculptor and artist of the Colorado mountain wilderness in the 1870s. After spending much of his youth hunting and sketching in the wilderness, Proctor's talents took him to Europe. Described as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather as well as confidant to many prominent figures of his day, Proctor's story is sure to leave you feeling inspired! This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
